High School Program: Life Skills/Study Hall: A successful education includes experiencing new things and learning how to tackle tasks and procedures independently. This year, we will learn about social skills, running a household, event planning, job skills, managing finances, health and safety, basic car maintenance, and goal setting. The students will have chances to give input and ideas while they learn and practice in a safe place with other kids. Our goals for this program are much broader than academics. We want to give the opportunity for the students to get out of the house and engage with other kids in their peer group. We hope to create a strong community and safe environment to socialize, learn, and interact with each other while getting their schoolwork done. Students will be active participants in their own learning while being guided through activities and projects that will build their knowledge and skill base as they move towards young adulthood. Hopefully we'll have lots of fun, too!
Extended Day:
Students have an extra hour for open gym time to run, jump, play, and flip with friends. This is a great addition to their academic day to build friendships! *Additional fees apply*
